Basic Bench Skills
Learn basic bench techniques including layout and design, drilling, piercing, sawing and filing. Basic hand tool use will be covered. Each student will complete projects to keep.
Instructor(s):
Phillip Scott, a graduate gemologist, is a member of the Rio Grande Technical Support team and has been with Rio Grande for seven years. He has 30 years of experience as a bench jeweler and has cast silver, gold and platinum. His specialty is custom, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces.
