Basic Enameling
In this two-day class, learn the fundamentals of hard-fired enameling. This class provides a solid foundation in the basic theory and physics of enameling. Learn four classic enameling techniques and how a centuries-old art form can be applied to cutting-edge jewelry designs. This class also covers the practical knowledge of the tools and equipment you''''ll need to get your own enameling studio up and running.
Instructor(s):
Phil Scott, a graduate gemologist, is a member of the Rio Grande Technical Support team and has been with Rio Grande for seven years. He has 30 years of experience as a bench jeweler and has cast silver, gold and platinum. His specialty is custom, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces.
