Intermediate Stone-Setting
Learn Gypsy (flush-mounting), bead- and bright-cut,pave and channel setting techniques with theory and hands-on practice. Students will keep their work pieces. Basic stone-setting experience is necessary.
Instructor(s):
Phil Scott, a graduate gemologist, is a member of the Rio Grande Technical Support team and has been with Rio Grande for seven years. He has 30 years of experience as a bench jeweler and has cast silver, gold and platinum. His specialty is custom, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces.
Prerequisites:
Previous stone setting experience is necessary.
